 Today in class we took notes on how to make a claim,what it is and the three different types of claims. I learned that a claim must be arguable but also supported with evidence. I struggled to come up with my own claims towards specific topics because I never really thought about them much. Today was a tiring day, I almost fell asleep in each period I was in. I even forgot my glasses at home which threw me off and had me struggling to see in the classes where my assigned seat was near the back.

 Today in class we worked on Newsela, The precautions you should take before consulting "Dr.Google". I learned to where to look for medical information. I know I can trust medical information when written by a physician or hosted on a website of medical schools. A few examples are Mayo Clinic, Government agencies, the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I liked how I was able to look out and learn about which websites to trust that will tell me the truth and facts,not opinions and false news. Today I was slightly tired and had a hard time staying awake.

 Today in class we took notes about formal and informal writing along with revising our drafts. I learned when it's the proper time to use formal writing and informal writing and how to spot it. I disliked how much writing we had to do. I was feeling extremely tired today but still a good day. I was excited that I was going out to eat today with my friends.

Today in class we used a diagram to write down our main topic in the middle then our subtopics in smaller circles then wrote our rough draft. I learned how to organize and get my ideas down on paper, which made it easier for me to write my paragraphs. I liked how we were able to choose our own main topics but did struggle at some points. Today was a good day, I was able to see my friends who didn't attend on Monday today. I was also excited to go home and spend time with my brother's girlfriend.

 Today we took notes of The Writing Process and filled out an organizer. I learned the five steps of the writing process and each meaning of them. I can use these five steps when i'm writing an important paper. I didn't like how much thinking had to go into coming up with the subtopics since I kept getting writers block. I'm feeling tired but glad the school day is almost over, the day has been okay so far.

 Today in class, we read some of Dickinsons quotes, analyzed, determine the topic,state the theme and determined the conflict on all 20 quotes. I learnt that every quote had a deeper meaning to it. That there is more then meets the eye, you just have to read between the lines. I liked the messages we got to learn from the quotes, just disliked how we hated to do 20 of them. I was feeling okay today,not too tired but not too energized either.
